Said Abulafia is a Tel Aviv–based entrepreneur and CEO of Abulafia, a historic bakery brand established in 1879. With a focus on hospitality, operations, and long-term business growth, he is dedicated to modernizing and expanding a legacy brand while preserving its cultural and historical significance. Raised in Jaffa as the eldest of five, Said grew up in a diverse and multicultural environment. He attended a British private Christian school, where he was exposed to a wide range of perspectives, cultures, and beliefs from an early age. This upbringing helped shape his open-minded approach to leadership and business. He began his professional career in the M&A department at one of Israel’s largest law firms, gaining valuable experience in corporate strategy, financial structuring, and business transactions. This foundation provided him with a strong understanding of how organizations grow, evolve, and create value. He later transitioned into his family’s bakery business, Abulafia, where he has focused on business development, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. Under his leadership, the business has adapted to rapidly changing conditions while maintaining consistency in quality and customer experience. In recent years, Said has led the business through significant external challenges, including global disruptions and local instability. Rather than relying on short-term solutions, he focused on strengthening operational foundations, improving supplier relationships, and reinforcing brand identity. These efforts have helped create a more resilient and sustainable business model. His leadership philosophy centers on consistency, discipline, and adaptability. He emphasizes long-term thinking over short-term gains and believes that strong relationships—both internally and externally—are essential to lasting success. Beyond business, Said is an active contributor to coexistence initiatives that promote dialogue and understanding between different communities. He views business not only as a means of growth but also as a platform for creating positive social impact. Outside of his professional life, he values personal well-being and balance. He enjoys working out, cooking, hiking, and spending time by the sea. These routines help him maintain clarity and consistency in both life and work. Said Abulafia continues to lead with a focus on steady growth, resilience, and building a business that honors its legacy while evolving for the future.
